Hi
I used Melodyne 4 Essentials to correct a vocal track and when I render the region FX the waveform display of the track just becomes a single line. The audio is still there, it just doesn't show as a waveform anymore!
Doesn't happen on all projects or tracks - help!

Anyone experienced this???

Cheers

Hi. I think this might be a graphic issue. Which version of SONAR do you have? On newer version, try right click on the clip, clip properties (at the bottom) and choose recompute picture / image (not in front of my DAW now). Hope it helps.
All the best.

Thanks Zargg71

Managed to find the recompute waveforms option and it indeed recomputed them.
However, there still seems to be an issue when selecting the clip and de-selecting it as to whether the waveform appears! Very strange indeed.

I used take lanes to record the vocal. If I choose to show take lanes the waveform appears in the composite track. If I hide take lanes it disappears!

Cheers

I have a similar question once I render a track, when I go to select a new track to work on create region is greyed out what am I missing? Better question is what are the steps after making changes in melodyn?

I was using Melo on a comped vocal track yesterday and when I bounced to clips it left a blank clip on top of the audio. The audio still played, but I had to delete the blank clips to declutter and so I could see the audio. (I always Melo small sections at a time)

I would suggest expanding Take Lanes when working with Region FX... just in case.
