Why is it that if I set a MIDI track input to “none” close/open the project, MIDI tracks have reset themselves to the “UA-25 omni” I don’t understand why reloading a project, Sonar has not set MIDI tracks to “none”

FYI…
Also I understand windows shuffles the deck of USB ports if a MIDI keyboard etc has not been pluged in or pluged into a difrent USB port, that’s not the question. I'm not pluging/unpluging any peripherals in's and out's, just save and reloading the project.

Thanks :)

Is "Always Echo Current MIDI Track" enabled in Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording? Inputs change from None when Input Echo is enabled.

You meant to say save/close/open, right? Other than having 'Always Echo' enabled, I don't know of anything that will cause a the saved state of a MIDI track input assignment to change spontaneously on re-open.

EDIT: I did report a while ago that Input Echo remains On when you change the Input to 'None'. In that case you'll need to turn it off before saving.
