Any ideas on how I can stop Melodyne from crashing?  I have about ten track, only 2 vocals that I am working on.  Sometimes it works, but now it seems it crashes almost every time I try to open Melodyne. I do have several track tacks.  Could that be a problem?

Using Platinum, Windows, good computer, 32 Gigs of Ram.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Did you increase your buffers to 1024? This is what Melodyne recommends. In fact I get a warning telling me to raise the buffers when I fire up Melodyne . Others here have gotten by with less, so YRMV.

Keeping only one instance open and bouncing to clips everything you've edited helps for me, annoying as that is. You could clone and archive the original track if you're afraid you need to go back.

There is a known bug causing crashes in Melodyne 4 & SONAR. As of yet there has not been a permanent solution/fix. Check this thread for more info:

Also, make sure you render the region after you are done editing it in Melodyne.

Thank you for the suggestion.  My buffers are already set to 1024, 48K.  I can increase it to 2048.  Don't know if that will be too much.

I reported a Melodyne Essential issue where the second Melodyne clip in an audio track crashes SPLAT. It's MASSIVELY annoying. Please keep reporting this on the correct lines so we can get this issue solved.

My work-around is to have a dummy track where I drag a clip to Melodyne it. Once it's tuned, it seems kinda-OK to go join the others on the original audio track. Seems to be a launch issue or region FX issue on initial startup of a new clip.

Thank you, I will give this a try.  Never did the archive before.  I am sure I can figure that out.  I usually so have all of the windows open, and it does seem to happen after I have done a few Melodyne edits.  I will let the forum know how I make out.  Sure hope I can get it working.

I have lost a lot of work because I get so involved, and sometimes forget to do a save and loose all back to the last save.  I wonder if there there a way to recover recent takes that had not been saved?

Is this a bug in Melodyne?
