Hi guys
I have recently upgraded from Sonar X3 Producer to Sonar Platinum.  Because Sonar X3 Producer already contained Dimension Pro and Rapure I have held off downloading Dimension Pro and Rapture through the Cakewalk Command Centre due to their size.

My question is this: If I download Dimension Pro and Rapture through the Cakewalk Command Centre for Platinum, do I get any new patches that do not exist in the Sonar X3 Producer version (which is actually the same version as Platinum)

No seems to be the answer, but you won't be able to see any updates in the command center. With those items, I wouldn't see it as a problem.  Some have just been annoyed by the orange light, which you can select not to even see that item as well, when viewing the command center.

No.

They are the same vsti's and there's no additional content

I didn't install them either.

You're registered as a Platinum owner thus entitled to any and all that come with the upgrade. You don't need to do anything until something you don't already have comes out

To my mind, this is a bug or an unimplemented future feature, depending on how you look at it.

I posted about this on another thread: http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3169196

I can understand why Cakewalk Command Center would not track 3rd party products.  But products that have been part of the Sonar family (Dim Pro and Rapture) for some time now should be detected if already installed and then managed by the Cakewalk Command Center.

Melodyne, (though 3rd party), shows up in the Cakewalk Command Center.  So, to my mind it should also be detected if it is already installed and managed as well.

Hopefully, this will be implemented in a future version of CCC as it's such an obvious gap in the functionality of Cakewalk Command Center.

The DimPro and Rapture packages have not changed in years. I would expect extra content will be delivered in separate packages similar to the way the Content Club was handled in X2. It would not make sense to add an expansion pack to DimPro requiring everyone to download the entire product again to get the new expansion pack.

no...they'd just do an update to fix the out of tune bass notes!  (wink)

IIRC, that was the reason for DimPro Expansion Pack 3 which has been available for years.

Was wondering this myself. I downloaded Platinum from the site, so which packages are new from X3? Anderton Collection, Artist Instruments, Boutique FX, Loopmasters, Sample Magic, Sound Center, X-Mix Loops, Classic FX, Engineering FX, Platinum Instruments, Studio Instruments, Studio Mixing FX?

Thanks!
