I have recently installed Sonar Platinum, but still have Sonar X1 Producer, installed. I have also Native Instruments Komplete 8 ultimate installed. When I go to the Utilities menu and Plug in manager in Sonar Platinum,it does not have any programmes from the Komplete 8 suite in it's pop down menu's. For example when I go to the VST menu on the plug in manager, Kontact 5 is not on the menu. When I go to the same plug in manager menu in Sonar X1, Kontact 5, as well as everything else is recognized. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

If I recall correctly, if you installed Komplete 8 Ultimate prior to installing Sonar, the Komplete installation process will default to one path, but if Sonar was installed ahead of Komplete, the Komplete installation will default to the Sonar default plugin path of C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\vstplugins.
 
I would suggest you launch Sonar, and make sure that the path to your Komplete 8 Ultimate plugins is added to the Cakewalk Plugin Manager's search paths for VST plugins. Click on Options, underneath where it says VST Configuration, to see and adjust the VST search paths Sonar will use.  Sonar should scan for new plugins automatically when you restart Sonar.

Many thanks. I did what you said, and have now incorporated Komplete 8, into Sonar. Can you recommend where I might buy more sample loops, to incorporate into the loops library in Sonar. I am looking for as many different sounds as possible. Thanks. James from Scotland.
