Been using the UFX for several years now. Previous interface was EMU 1820m. Sounded good, but once I swapped it out for the UFX, I realized what I was missing. Crystal clear converters dropped the noise floor down to nothing. Learning curve with TotalMix was steep, but once I figured it out the possibilities with ins/outs are endless. Setting up workspaces and snapshots for my use helped a lot. Added the OctaMic II for an additional 8 channels so I could record drums. Very satisfied with performance of the UFX.

Another thumbs up for the UFX. TotalMix is a tad confusing at first and adds an additional layer of confusion if you use a mixer, but it also gives an enormous amount of flexibility. I have been having difficulty with the RME forum lately on my iPad. ( Haven't tried it on my Windows machines) Their tech support thinks it has something to do with IPV6 and recommended turning it off, but there is no such option in IOS. UFX can be run as "class compliant mode" meaning it can be run without drivers if you want to use it with an IOS device.

If you have one, don't forget to explore digicheck software (free download) from RME. It's very useful.
