As many of you know by now, I am back in the SONAR world 100%, and with that goes trying to get caught up with everything.

Two questions.  1. Are all versions of the X series, ie, X1, X2, X3 now unavailable? Are those off the product list? I bought X2 and still have it, and still use it some. I assume we have moved past that now to Artist, Professional, and Platinum. Correct?
2. I have a Cakewalk UA-25 EX interface. Seems like I read that is is obsolete. I have one from back in the day and wondered if it still served a purpose or should I just toss it.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if the interface is an orphan but it would make sense to try it with your version of the software. I have an older system with Sonar 8.5 and a Quad Capture. It's my safety blanket and a way to get extra tracks if I needed them.

I've gone to Focusrite, which works the best for me, and I have the 18i8 with the 2i2 as a backup. I am very careful these days about changing too much about a system once it is up and running smoothly. I'm going to leave well enough alone this time.

If this Cakewalk interface is still functional with today's software and anyone wants it, I'll be happy to sell it cheap...but I'm a bit skeptical that it works with today's software. Maybe we can get more info on that from the forum members here.

Thanks for the reply.

Well I have a Cakewalk UA 25 EX interface that has happily seen me through SONAR Le, all of the X-series, and is now merrily purring away with SPlat/Win 10/August update - and long may it continue.
