Hello,

So i have sonar platinum installed and i just installed superior drummer 64bit on my PC, but I can't find it in Sonar. I also tried to install the 32bit version and i used JBridge to make it 64bit bit it still didn't find it. I checked many times if the plug-ins are in the proper folders and they are.

did you try a full reset of your VST scan, check the VST paths, and rescan?

Yes, i pressed scan vst button multiple times and also the option for real time scanning is ticked. I also installed Kontakt 5 and it works perfectly in sonar

What is the exact path to the Superior Drummer.dll ?
You have something amiss in that path or in the scan path in Plugin Manager

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins\Toontrack\64bit\Superior Drummer.dll

As far as i know that "VstPlugins" inside Cakewalk folder is the default VST folder for Sonar and all my other vst that work good are stored there.

Also, the dll file must be good because i used JBridge to make it from 64bit to 32bit to test it in my old Cubase 5 and there, it works perfectly, i want to make this shift from Cubase to Sonar because i really like Sonar.

The path looks good Sonar should pick it up.
Odd that it picked up Kontact and not SD...
I have a mixdown in progress, I'll take a look at PluginManager as soon as its done and get back to you.
Should be an easy fix.

You've opened PluginManager and under VST configuration "options" you have your "scan path" set to pf/cake/vst
(its shorthand I know) you've got the two "re-scan" buttons ticked?
Then you've hit the "Scan VST Plugins".
Kontact was picked up but not SD.
IIRC, the SD installer drops the sd.dll in the VST folder, not a toon sub folder.
Try moving the dll into the pf/cake/vst folder, then scan and see if Sonar picks it up.
I organize all my dlls in sub folders with no issues, but...
I wonder if somehow Sonar's new "by manufactuer" and "by type" is somehow confused.
I'm not in the studio and only have EZD on the office rig (its fine with EZD), I haven't run SD
on the latest Plat update out in the studio.

Thanks man, yea, it was because it wasn't scanned properly, in VST settings i had Automatic Background Scan option on, so i changed it to manual, ticked the 2 options below and rescanned everything, now SD works perfectly, thanks again!!
