In the original z3ta+, there used to be some strict limitations on file format and sample length.  That was loosened in the updates that followed.  In z3ta+2, it's at least 2048 samples (possibly the 2999 limit of Rapture / Dimension, and 44.1 kHz.).  Many of the stock z3ta+2 wavetables are half that length.

Apparently, it still has to be a mono file.  I can load stock wavetables from Rapture, or mono ones from the U-120 expansion pack, but my stereo wavetables there won't load.  Neither will samples of any significant length (which would be interpreted as one-shots in RP / DP).

I'm not sure what you mean here.  The shorter wavetables will automatically be 'mapped' across the keyboard range.  Longer samples simply won't load.

Middle C is 261.626 Hz
So the time of 1 cycle is the reicprocal of that: 0.00382225008217837676683510048695 sec
The number of samples in that waveform depends on the sample rate. For 48kHz the number of samples is:  183.46800394456208480808482337382
The formula is: reciprocal (f) * sample rate.
