Hey Cakewalk, the Quad-Cuvrve EQ is great and all with it's spectral analyzer and such, but I believe a new equalizer needs to come forth for those who want more control over their equalizations.

FL Studio users get two types of parametric EQs, one of which is similar to the Quad-Curve EQ in SONAR, except it has like 7 nodes to work with (beyond just low, lo-mid, mid-hi and high), on top of spectral analysis.

It looking back at older EQs in SONAR, it looks like we did have some that had about that many nodes, but just no spectral analysis.  Unless there's another EQ in SONAR I overlooked that has all of this together, I'd appreciate something like this being added to the FX library.

So, are you basically just saying, "more nodes in Quad-Curve please"?

Quadcurve has 5 nodes if you include the filters
The Sonitus also has 6 nodes but you can freely assign each band to any of the 5 types.
I can't think of any earlier EQ's that had any more bands that this

Quite honestly, if 6 bands isn't enough then I'd consider re-recording the part

Essentially, yes.

True, true. However the Sonitus one does not have a spectrum analyzer, so we can see the effect our changes to the nodes are making.
