The only reason why I still use the FX bin in addition to ProChannel is the reduced ability to control plug-ins in PC FX Chains with a control surface.
One can only map the 6 buttons and 6 knobs of the FX Chain module to control parameters of included effects (usually more than one, otherwise you wouldn't make a "chain").
So, for me, I'm glad that the FX Rack/Bin is still there!
