I didn't use Sonar Steam Edition for a few months and yesterday I started it and saw that I can't open existing projects or sound library - application is completely freezes.
I tried to reinstall Sonar, but it didn't help.
I have 2 hard drives(C: and D:). Sonar installed on D: When I'm trying to open content from D:, Sonar is freezes.
Running Sonar in administrator mode also didn't help.
OS: Windows 10.
What can I do to fix that?

Is your message SonarPLT has stopped working? You might want to check Windows event viewer to see what the error is, I suspect Windows update needs to be run

No messages, interface just freezing and I can see high CPU usage. I can wait infinite amount of time and nothing will happen, so I have to close app manually. I have auto-updates on my OS..

Content as in projects?   If so, what happens when those projects are on your C:?

I can't open projects from both hard drives(C: and D:).
Also I can browse files in the media browser on drive C, but if I try to browse files on D:, Sonar freezes.

3 things...

1- could be a soundcard problem.
2- could be a hardware problem,
3- could also be a plug in. but if its happening on all projects then probably not.

for a plug in issue:
Try to Open in safe mode: Hold down SHIFT and try opening a project. then go one by one.

for soundcard, check your drivers and connection.
for hardware (lets wait on that till we can eliminate a plug in or soundcard.)

to get the best possible help here you really need to list your set up, not just your OS.
I don't even know, what are you using for a soundcard ?

Thanks for help.

All worked fine a few months ago(I didn't use Sonar for a while). I think there is no problems with soundcard or hardware, because if I create new project and work with it, everything works fine, until I quit and try to reopen saved project. Also I didn't install new plugins. Sonar just stopped to work normally after one of the updates.
I'm using notebook with embedded soundcard (VIA HD audio). Core i7 4700MQ, 12 Gb RAM, Geforce GTX 765M, SSD(C:) + HDD(D:).

Opening project in safe mode helped somehow - I realised that if I won't load "LRS track bus: GroovePlayer" plugin, then all my projects opens normally. But I'm still getting freezes, when I try to browse disk D: in media browser.

What should I do to permanently fix error with GroovePlayer? Any other ideas on how to fix freezing in media browser?

Just curious.... what happens if you right-click on the SONAR shortcut and Run As Administrator?   Also, Windows doesn't happen to have any updates pending?

I wrote about this in my first message, but I already tried to run Sonar as an administrator. I'm a software developer, which occasionally making some sound effects. I'm sure that my system is up to date.

I even bought Sonar Platinum(I thought that differences in versions can help me to fix that bug), but it didn't help.
I tried to reinstall Sonar again, tried to delete all content in C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk, but it also didn't help.
I tried to write to the Cakewalk support, but no answer for 4 days...
