So I went out and spent a chunk of change on a 32" IPS 4K monitor for my DAW. By default, Windows 10 wants to scale to 150%, but I have manually set it to 125%, as the screen is bigger than most of the 28" models on the market and readability is still pretty good at 125%.
I've run Sonar Platinum at both levels of UI scaling and, to be honest, things get pretty soft and fluffy visually in Sonar's UI with
any scaling, but it's worse the more you scale up.
With the prevalence of 4K monitors hitting the market, I'm wondering if there are any plans to improve scaling in Sonar? At 100% scaling, Sonar's UI looks sharp and clean, however with any scaling, which is a must with 4K, things don't look too pretty in Sonar. It's like everything, including fonts, are raster-based rather that vector-based, so they don't look very good when they're enlarged. If at least the text in Sonar's UI used vector-based fonts, like truetype fonts, things would look
much better.
Any other 4K monitor users out there seeing this?
