Call me selfish, but I really hope Cakewalk doesn't compromise the upcoming mac OS release compensating for Windows scaling issues...

Given that currently, 100% of the paying user-base are Windows users, I don't think you are being selfish, I think you are being ridiculous.  25 years of Cakewalk history is on the PC.  I'm glad Sonar is going to be available on Mac, but to suggest that Windows development should take a back-seat for the Mac is biting the hand that feeds you.
