After updating to the latest version i can't make a new project anymore.
Opening most of my project doesn't work anymore.
It happend before the W10 anniversary update and continued after the update.
It might be W10 related as i have W10 and programs on a SSD, and all other things (data, ..) on 2 HHDs.
Strange i can open a few simple projects.
I have no other problems with this PC.
 
I already re-intalled Sonar. Also the clean install with te registry edits.

Hi, and welcome to this forum. Do you get any error messages? When you say you cannot open, do you mean that you do not see projects available for opening, or is the "open" option greyed out?
Are you able to save the projects that do open? The more info you give, the easier it will be to help.

Being able to open simple projects makes me wonder if a VST unregistered along the way. If you hold the Shift button and double click the .cwp file from Windows Explorer (safe mode), does SONAR still crash?

Thx for the replies.
I think the problem is W10 and my soudblaster X-Fi.
The soundblaster is a good card but with the new drivers the clock frequency is set at 48khz.
When i try to change  that (in creative console) my pc hangs. 
 
When i use the UA-1G everything works fine.
I use this UA-1G with a laptop in another room so i would like my SB to work.
 
Suport for this card is finished. W10 drivers were made, but don't solve all problems?
When i play mp3's in iTunes it works fine. Mp3's are 44.1.

Some feedback.
i switched from audiocreation mode to entertainment mode.
This seems to work.
Switching to aiso makes it hanging, so i use wdm

Do you have the possibility to use the UA-1G on your main system? If so, I would use that. You could try to install the drivers for it in compatibility mode. But if you can use your current sound card without any issues, use it
