Hi, i installed the new 07 update and the installation was without an error. Existing projects plays and i can record new audio takes.

BUT if i create a new project and try to record the first audio take, cakewalk shows a error box with the message:
either wrong audio format or audio interface is currently in use with a link to www.cakewalk.com/support/hardwaresetup/

My SONAR Platinum has the same error now. Has it something to do with the new update or is it a windows thing?
Currently i run windows 10 pro 1803 build 17134.167.

Could anyone please check it?

Check that you've not got your NI Audio 6 set to be your default Windows sound device.

Windows has a nasty habit of stealing USB audio interfaces after an update, and forcing the audio format to what it wants.

If this is the issue, you've got two choices:
1. Set the audio format to what you want within Windows to match what you want in CbB; or
2. Set your Windows sound device to be something else like the in-built soundcard on your motherboard (which is the better solution)

@Mark McLeod
Your right Mark, windows seems to changed the audio driver from asio to wasapi.
Now the setting is asio again and it works like before. THANK YOU very much.
