Twice in the past week I have run into this problem. I am working in SPLAT with a 16 channel version of Kontakt. Out of nowhere, SPLAT closes down. When I restart, all the midi and track data is still in place, the Kontakt window opens but all of the Kontakt instruments are missing and need to be reloaded. I am not sure of this is a SPLAT issue or a Kontakt issue.
 
Any advice would be gratefully received.
