Has anybody asked whether buying a lifetime update before the deadline will include the Mac platform when it becomes available?

The answer is yes it will include it.

Hey everybody,

I've not posted here in a number of years, but I'm a long-time customer (Pro Audio 9 through X3 Producer). I abandoned Windows in June and am running Logic Pro X on a couple of Macs, but I have been getting the "Sonar is coming to Mac" emails and I'm very interested considering the number of years I've been using it already.

Has anybody asked whether buying a lifetime update before the deadline will include the Mac platform when it becomes available?

Thanks, guys. I'd been hunting around the main Cakewalk site for the answer...

However...the Mac version is in its very early stages, there won't be a fully-baked Mac version for some time. Don't expect to replace Logic any time soon.

Thanks, Craig - I figured that would be the case.

I'm happy with Logic for now and have already migrated all of my projects to it. I didn't set out to abandon Sonar, but my 11-year old studio computer and PCI audio interface were starting to show their age and I was already building a Mainstage-based keyboard rig with a Macbook Pro and Resident Audio T2. It just sorta happened...

I just bought in as well.  It only cost me $99.00 so it was a no-brainer.

I just bought in.  My membership would have ended this February, so it will be 6 months before I feel the benefit, but it feels both good and strange at the same time.

I'm also back to Sonar with this lifetime updates. Stopped using it at X1 and went to Logic pro X but can't get over the fact that you can't easily assign midi input ports in Logic to create a 'jam-session' with say 3 midi keyboards each playing a different soft synth on a different track. Happy to be back in workflow paradise.

I checked out the demo over the last few weeks and was wondering whether Command Center installs the authorized version of Sonar over the demo or whether I need to uninstall the demo before installing my authorized Sonar?
