All Forum hosts are have "Forum Host" above their post count. Know who you are bashing and consider tempering your posts.

Not if you are on the mobile version of the forum, which I was.

Anyway, I am sorry for the misunderstanding, and way in which I responded.

I would just like to make it clear to anyone else reading this thread that several Cakewalk employees and representatives have stated that there will be no difference between what Lifetime Platinum members receive, and what Yearly/Monthly Members will receive.

I have no reason to doubt them.

Apologies once more.

"None of these are particularly becoming of a "host"."

Is bapu a host again?

Nope. At the launch I was a host for about three weeks and I decided it was not something I wanted to continue.

It's not a tough decision, or a decision at all. I simply don't have the money. I realise that's nobody's problem but mine, but as a customer, I'd like a more considered reply from Cakewalk than "spend the money you've not got and stop worrying about it".

Same here.  So what happens after Aug.31. No possibility to buy lifetime updates?

Well, 2015 Black Friday sales are over. No possibility to still purchase at the discounted price?
(I was broke at the time)

deleted post to avoid mis-representing the future of SONAR Platinum.

I have edited my original post to delete that assertion.

I do apologize to the forum my skewed view/interpretation of what Noel was describing (very early in the initial BIG ANNOUNCEMENT thread).

And I too apologize to you jb101. I now see how I misinterpreted Noel's comment about what might have been if lifetime membership had existed as of Jan 2015 (in reference to Drum Replacer etc.).

I was dead wrong.

Hey man, no self-immolation required. As many have noted, it's been a whirlwind of crazy here lately, making it all too easy to misread or misremember something someone may or may not have said on page 13 of a 47 page thread. I certainly don't require any kind of apology... so please accept my apologies if I gave that impression!

I'm sorry I still don' get it. My membership ends May 2017. Does that mean I have to spend additional money today {8/31} for the lifetime deal even though I'm paid thru May on the annual membership?
