Hey y'all, I've got a Studio 192 thats been working fine for a while now.  Updated the UC software and also unplugged and moved my studio around a bit, and when I came back to Sonar to work I suddenly only have Studio 192 ASIO Main Out Left as a driver option, so I no longer get a stereo out.  I'm at a loss as to what could have caused this...anyone have any thoughts? Both L and R are sending the mon signal to my speakers and Im not seeing an option in either the UC or Sonar to address this...

Thanks for any suggestions!

Have you checked the hardware out put on the mains ?
There should be a dual stereo bus. I would look to see what those readings are then go from there.

Typically though after moving your a studio around and then something doesn't work..its a connection issue.

yeah, I'd think that too, but other sources are playing in stereo just fine, its just the 192 signal that isn't getting love.  I plugged my laptop into the 192 and I get way more driver options, including Main Out, which then plays through my speakers just fine in stereo. So...theres something screwy with my desktop and sonar...Ugh.  Frustrating.

Continuing to investigate, everything works perfectly fine on my laptop, which is also running Producer X3e on windows 10, with the 192.  However, on the desktop, my only audio driver options are Main out L, or headphones Left (so even that isnt playing right). I have no idea where to go with this...I tried reinstalling the UC drivers with no change...I could try reinstalling X3, but my Platinum demo showed the exact same thing.  Yay life.

Also, Im able to play back my windows audio through the 192 in perfect stereo...so the problem lies in Sonar somewhere no longer recognizing the right side of the ASIO drivers...what the heck....

Also, if I switch my drivers over to MME then I get all my stereo output options back, and everything plays fine. This is so confusing...

Well, Ive seemingly stumped the internet too it seems. Only thing I really have left to try is completely uninstall and reinstall Sonar, but I dont think that will work.  Im running on MME drivers right now, which does work, I just lose the advantages of ASIO. The computer gods hate me.

don't break your sonar installation. it's got to do something with the drivers. are you sure you using the latest ones? did you completely remove them, reboot, and try again? did win10 get the drivers for you or are you using custom drivers ?

Yeah, I uninstalled the UC software, which also contains the drivers, then reinstalled and rebooted.  I didnt however, uninstall, reboot, then reinstall in that order, so I guess I could try that. :) I got the drivers direct from the Presonus website.

well tried that, no luck.  I still only have the left side of the drivers.  I've searched online quite a bit and haven't seen anyone else ever have this problem. Yay for being unique!

Check Windows sound card options first. SONAR can only use what Windows exposes to it. There have been quite a few posts recently of Windows updates resetting things.
