I want to do a remote recording of my son, so I'm pulling out an old, beat-up XP computer and trying to load a 32 bit version of Sonar.  As I scroll thru my product list I can see dloadable older versions Sonar that I have purchased and besides the file there are "Mirror1" and "Mirror2" versions to dload.

What the heck are those...Thanks in advance.

That indicates more than one site that hosts the files. Mirror 1 would be the first site and Mirror 2 is the second one. If one is slow try the other one. They are where one DLs files from. The term is descriptive meaning one is a duplicate of the other or one mirrors the other.
