I have been trying to install drivers all day and have had on luck, keep getting this message "operating system you are using is not supported. please check the supported operating systems. setup will be terminated. I am running windows 7 prof. 64 bit and the driver I am trying to install is for this operating system. my computer does not read the 700r but it reads the 700c. can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?
thanks

Hi
Have you upgrade your both rack and console to the latest version? I think it is v 1.31 just check firmware version.
Here is the link:
https://www.roland.com/us/support/by_product/v-studio_700/updates_drivers/
If you are using both unit together you need to install this driver:
V-STUDIO 700R (Rack) USB Driver Windows v2.0.2
befor you start to install make sure there in no left over driver in your computer. you should uninstall it first and restart the pc.
unplug the usb from your rack and install the driver first then it will tell you to plug the usb.
if you are using the same driver that I gave you the link, so try the driver with another pc or laptop just see if it shows the same issue or not.

help again please...I have drivers installed and I can track through sonar but I cant use all the  features  the 700 console has, no plugins and phantom stuff. when I go to options to select the 700c as the control surface I don't see it as an option like the book says, I get the following.

ACT Midi controller-1
Cakewalke Generic Surface
Mackie Control-1....and several others but no VS-700.
I can select VS-700 for in port and out port but that's it.

like I mentioned before I got this set-up with no insall disk and it has been a pain in the but!
any help would be greatly appreciated !!
thanks MGS

i have a question, after I mix and finished my projects, I pass them to a cd, but the volume is very low on the cd.
some one at the music store told me that i have to go in the sonar X3 producer and raise the volume on the software, is that so?

I suggest you go to the Izotope website and watch a few videos on mastering.  I have been using Ozone for several iterations to finish projects. Izotope has a wonderful tool that includes meters that you need to see correct levels. It is called "Insight"   https://www.izotope.com/en/products/mix/insight.html Voxengo has a free plug in "Span" http://www.voxengo.com/product/span/  This is a useful tool as well.  There are many different applications for this. It requires basic fundemental understanding of both recording concepts and mastering concepts to accomplish what you want with a nice polished sound.  If you simply are not interested or lack the time, Cakewalk actually has "Landr" (basically an algorhythm driven automatic mastering service).   Good luck

PS... this area of the forum is dedicated to CW Hardware.  You will get better response by posting the question in the correct section. The correct area of this forum for this question is probably "Sonar"
