As far as free VST FX go, I'm pretty happy with the bundled stuff in Sonar.

If you are just curious, the TAL website has a lot of freebies to play around with ... a few of the synths and reverbs are interesting, but never made my go-to list.  Some of them get mentioned on best free VST lists.
