I use the Komplete Kontrol software from time to time.  It's a great shell for finding sounds from a variety of different virtual instruments, not just those from NI.  I think it would be fairly cool if I could pull up Rapture Pro patches in KK as well as everything else which is supported.

It would be useful , particularly with the new sound preview feature.
 
I looked at mapping Rapture Pro controls for Komplete Kontrol, in the end I decided the best policy was to just map the macros as this gave a pretty useful set of performance controls with out getting over complex.
 
You can save presets as "User" but this is only really practical for storing a few favorite patches unless you have an awful lot of time on your hands.
