  • Missing Project Files from Open Dialog [Solved]

So after the latest update I am having some weirdness.

When I go to open a recently created project none of the files are showing up in the open dialog box.  In fact the mix recall folder isn't showing up either.  The audio files are not showing up in the audio directory.

File Explorer shows everything is there and if I select the file from file explorer, Sonar will open normally.

I should note that I created the directory (and the audio directory) manually and extracted the audio files to that directory manually.  I think I also initially created a template at the start, too (not that it should matter.)

The Save As dialog works as expected.  One other note, if I go to the open dialog, the cakewalk project files are not showing up.

Anybody else seeing this behavior?

The path used by the open projects dialog is "Project Files" set in Preferences > File > Folder Locations. Are the projects on an external drive?

No, they are on my "tracking drive" which is an internal drive. The directory comes up fine, it just doesn't show the files.  They also don't show on the start screen, but others that I worked on before the update do.  Those projects also show up in the open dialog properly.

Are you talking about the Recent Project List in the start screen?
From the OP it appears you are not using per-project audio folders, is that correct?

Ok, I figured out the user error here - I had been saving the project as a template. Doh!
