Hello,
my name's Juraj Joob. I'm from Slovakia. I speak English very little. I have audio, midi device Roland Quad Capture and I bought DAW Cakewalk Sonar Platinum. My problem is when open saved cwp project, sonar crashes. In project I use Rapture virtual instruments tracks. When I use WDM driver mode, all is OK. But when I use ASIO driver mode Sonar crashes. I want to use ASIO because there is lower latency when recording. WDM has higher latency and recording is not possible. Feel delay that wrong. Witch other Audio-Midi interface device is compatible and reliable with Sonar?
My PC configuration: CPU:i7, GPU:NVidia GTX680, RAM:42GB, SSD:256MB, HDD1:2TB, HDD2:2TB, OS:Win 8.1 x64 Pro, Audo/MID device: Roland Quad Capture
Error: Fatal error has occurred. Module: C:\Windows\system32\rdas1117.dll
Sorry for the misstakes in my English.
Thank you.

Hi, and welcome to this forum.
Do you have the latest drivers for your Quad Capture? It seems like rdas1117.dll is related to the Roland driver, after Googling it.
Have you tried to adjust the latency settings in Preferences (P), Audio, Driver Settings?
All the best.

Hi, thanks.
I have Driver & Control panel 1.5.2, Device settings: Main:1.04 and Bios:1.01. I tried adjust latency settings and it did not help. Sonar opening project 30 seconds and process allocate 3.5GB. When display and update user interface for opened project Sonar crashes.

Welcome to the forum.

First, remove and then reinstall the latest drivers from Roland.

Then, in SONAR, make sure every page that has to do with audio and interface have the same settings.  Also check the mixer app for the Roland unit.  A mismatch in rate or bit depth on different pages can cause problems.

If you still have crashes, de-install your internal soundcard so it cannot cause problems.

I would also send a report to tech support.

Good luck!

Re=naming the aud.ini file so that a new one is created, tends to get my Quad working again. And a few others have had the same experience.

Worth a try.

Out of curiosity, how do you have 42GB of ram memory?  Usually it is multiples on 2.

2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, ect....................

Are you mixing different types/speeds of RAM?  This can cause a slower or even unstable system.

Sorry, it was only keying mistake. True value is 24GB.

FYI - I used to have a few problems with my Rolands Ocat-Capture when I was running Win 7 but with Win 10 everything is running very smoothly.  Roland went plug n play with Win 10 and my unit runs a lot better.

Also there are 4 versions of 1.5.2 drivers.  Are you sure you have the right drivers installed?  This is probably a dumb question but it is easy to make a mistake - been there - done that.

Hello,
I tested the Roland Quad-Capture on the laptop Asus G750JH with Win 8.1 x64 and sonar crashes too. I found that sonar falls whenever loaded into memory more than 3GB VST Instrument Dimension Pro, Rapture ... except Kontakt from Native Instruments. Kontakt works stable, although also recorded just 12GB.
Then I bought audio device Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 device and my problem was solved. Now Sonar works without problems.
