  • Much of a jump from X3 to current version for Multi Touch & Matrix view?

I have X3 Producer and am considering upgrading to Platinum or Professional. It’s not pressing but if the Multi Touch support has been extended a lot and also the Matrix view that would certainly interest me.
So has there been much change in those since X3?
I realise I can demo it but I’d rather not install another version unless I have to. Thanks.

No changes as far as I can recall. I'd still recommend trying the demo despite the fact that I also would LOVE to see changes in these two areas ( not to mention some others ((cough) Notation!!!(Cough)) as well. SPlat rocks though.

Whether the Matrix view will do what you want depends on how you plan to use it. Why not just set a system restore point before installing the demo? That way you can try it and know for sure.

As to touch, SONAR does a good job compared to other DAWs, but that's kind of like being the thinnest kid at fat camp. Touch has a ways to go for everything except basic consumer applications.

Thanks for the replies. I’ll leave it for now and wait to see if other new features of Sonar are compelling me before giving it a go. Right now it’s really the touch side that is interesting me and I’m looking at other custom options.
