Hi

I thought I would have a go at Meodyne as i never used it before In Sonar Pro.
Now I have Platinum and I made a Authorization mistake with the serial I had In Platinum.
I put it In the upgrade box on the Melodyne site Instead of the serial box.Must have been click happy.
All went wrong after that and I had to get another serial from Celemony.
I have had to uninstall the Sonar Melodyne Essentials and down load another from them and enter a new serial .
I have done all of that and I can get Melodyne on my destop open but do not Know how to re-Integrate melodyne with Sonar Platinum.
The other thing Is now I have a later version of Melodyne Essentials, Woooo!
I have pointed Sonar to The Celemony folder which Melodyne Is In and re scanned ,but It Is not Integrated into the region efx.
Any Ideas would be helpful.

All the best

Hi. Did you install Melodyne as Vst3? That is what is needed for Region Fx (IIRC).
All the best.

Also make sure you do a VST scan of the melodyn .dll location.

Hi Ken
I have got you there,thanks.
Well Dave I have gone to celemony folder and then Melodyne.
Inside there Is a dll Melodyne rewire only.Is that the dll for integrating ???
I looked in Cakewalk and vst folders ,but no sign of just a Melodyne 64 bit dll.
I have re-scanned a few times now and no luck.
The Standalone works perfectly.

Not sure, but you can add that path to your vst scan and then rescan and see what happens.

The Vst3 install defaults to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Celemony\Melodyne.

the vst 3 is in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Celemony
I would also rescan if your set to manual scan.

Hi chuck
I only have Melodyne Essentials  and when I point to the folder In the common files I get this ilock thing and reboot.
After that It Is In the  rewire section ,not the region fx.
I am only starting to look at this and it Is baffling at the moment.
To be In the rewire section,Is that right for this Essentials version?
It opens in Platinum on a separate track and can only be played within Itself by choosing my  focusrite unit. All silent with re-wire.
I do not know what rewire is ,but guess It is using outside programs from looking at It.
How It all Integrates is stumping me at the moment.
I had to go back to Celemony to get another serial and another download as  Platinum refuses the serial number for some reason. This melodyne is a little different to vsts and effects ,so i am not up to speed with this program.
It will probably click In my brain  at some point I hope. That is if there is any hope for me!!!!!

All the best

When you scan your VST's make sure you are hitting the reset button in the plug in manager before you do a rescan. That seems to make a difference when new plugs aren't showing up.

john, I find the best way to use melodyne is to:
1- highlight an audio clip (click + drag)
2- right click on that highlighted section of the audio clip
3- choose Region FX >Melodyne.
the Melodyne interface will open in the multi dock.

is this what you have done ?
