My old computer was 9 years old and I figured it was time to upgrade. I decided I could install Sound Forge and Samplitude right on the new computer with less hassle. So I bit the bullet and bought the new computer. Now my system specs are up to date with the available programs.....

I'm going to guess that your new computer came with Windows 10.  I discovered that I had to leave a few programs behind when I migrated from Windows 7 to 10.

If you still have a full copy of Windows 7 you could wipe the new system and install Windows 7.  I was still able to run most of my Win XP era programs just fine on Win 7.  Not so much with Win 10, although I think that Win actually 10 performs better.  Progress!

Both computers are Windows 10. I'm having problems with all the new programs except Mixcraft, Sonar and Audition are both running in demo mode. Cubase Elements is hanging up on VST3 's, Mixcraft is working beautifully for me on the new computer. Studio One won't save anything.....

That's why I like to wait 10 years between computer changes ... too much work!
