  • NI Battery3 missing from Plugin Manager in Platinum x32

I have 32-bit and 64-bit versions of both X3e and Platinum installed. NI Battery3 is absent from Plugin Manager in Platinum x32 while present in the other three. I don't get it. It would make more sense to be missing from x64, but it isn't. Some other 32-bit plugins (e.g. IK Multimedia ones) are missing from the 64-bit versions of both X3 and Platinum, but maybe that's understandable.

Before you ask... yes I have re-scanned... and yes, all the VST folders are included. I even have another Native Instruments plugin (B4II) with its DLL file in the same folder as Battery and it is showing up OK.

Before I ask...do you have preferences set up to hide related 32 bit plug ins ?

I don't see that option. Do you mean "Hide related VST2 plugins"? If so, then no I don't. There is no VST3 version of Battery3 anyway.

By the way, Battery3 is not listed under excluded plugins either.

yes that's exactly what I mean, if your hiding them in your X64 bit versions then its possible the scanner is a shared component and might be hiding it thinking that's what you want (only to see the 64 bit version of Battery.)
its worth a shot. just remember you have to rescan after you make those changes. possibly need to exit sonar as well, cant remember.

if at all you really want to try and get them back, re personalize sonar by opening Platinum and holding down CNTRL. it will ask you if you'd like to personalize sonar. select yes and let it rescan everything again.

are you set to manual scan ?

I've done several manual re-scans already on all the different copies of Sonar, including with the "Re-scan existing plugins" option ticked. I've just repeated the process again a few minutes ago. This time it's picked up the missing IK plugins in x64 Platinum (and in X3 too), so there's an improvement. Still no Battery3 in x32 Platinum though.

I've now re-installed Battery (v3.2.3). Curiously it did not prompt me for filepaths this time and it installed the DLL file in a not-so-logical place. The DLL file is smaller than the previous one. Weird! Anyway I deleted the old DLL and re-scanned all the copies of Sonar. Platinum x32 is still not picking it up.
