Have you updated License Manager recently? I'd do this first if you haven't done this in the near past. I had to do this and then I believe I assigned it a delayed start to be able to run it. There is a pretty thorough explanation when you get to the iLok site with the issue. Also:

iLok won't open, won't do anything.  So I can't update it.   Thanks for posting the video.  I'll check it out.

If License Manager won't work, then you should probably try a fresh install from the website like Jude77 did.

The issue is that you won't "work around" LM; if it doesn't run, nothing on your iLok will either. At one point, iLok ran like a straight, self-contained  TSR (though I doubt it was ever truly that either). It's been quite a while since it ran that way.

Good luck.

I wouldn't know which things were and were not checked.

its easy, almost anything in the list is searchable through google. it will tell you exactly what it is and what its for.

I found out how to set Windows 7 back to default, so I'll do that in the morning.   I tried to look for iLok to uninstall so I could re-install it, but it's not showing up.   Hopefully, correcting Windows 7 will fix it.

Thanks!

Also make sure you are up to date on all windows updates, especially V C++.

Why is it you think that to reinstall, one must uninstall first? Most apps for which that is necessary take care of it by themselves upon the reinstall.

Thanks, chuckebaby.

ouland144k:  That's what I was always told.   First uninstall, then reinstall.   Good to know I don't hae to do that.

Thanks!

UPDATE:   I did not do a system restore.   Instead, I went in and saw that some Intel things were disabled.  I enabled them, opened iLok, now everything works fine.

Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions!
Much appreciated!
