Just got a Komplete Kontrol S49. Everything is running smoothly and I'm able to load instruments & plugins when using the stand-alone version of Komplete Kontrol. However, when I try to open the Komplete Kontrol VST in SONAR it complains that it cannot find any plugins. And sure enough under Preferences -> Plugins there is a blank list whereas in the stand-alone it lists all my various plugins. The folder locations are the same in the two instances. I did move the vst .dll initially as I wanted it in my VST folder, but I thought that moving it might have caused the problem so I simply added the install location to my VST list. Any ideas of what I could do to get the plugins scanned correctly in my DAW plugin?

Try moving the dll back to it's original location.  I have the S49 and I never had any problems.  I have noticed that Native Instruments are really picky as to where you install them.  Personally, I always use the default location when I install NI.

Hope this helps

Yeah I did that and added the install location to the VST scan list...didn't seem to help unfortunately.

Ah that seemed to be the problem. For some reason, the standalone either scans plugins differently or processes subfolders where as the DAW version doesn't. I had put all my NI VST's in a subfolder. Once I added that to the search list, it loaded them just fine. Thanks!
