LP MB VST3 > I loaded 3 into a big project > side chained to 1 of them and platinum istantly has some type of latency/issue ( if I hit play button it takes 2-5 sec to start or if I hit keyboard in prv it takes 2 sec to play the note , this is affecting everything inside platinum . If I turn all 3 LPMB off in console view then platinum instantly RUNS Responsive again the way it should almost instantaneous playback ,midi ,right clicking etc etc .

I have tried to re install and find a LPMB VST 2 version , does anyone know if there is one ?

In linear phase mode, this plugin uses a readahead buffer to analyze the incoming audio. That is what causes the latency and is normal for this type of plugin. However, Cakewalk have given you the option of turning linear phase mode off.

Hey guys,

I spent some time looking into this installer issue. Turns out it's two separate problems:

1) As of this release (2016.07), we are not displaying the install directory page in our installer if you already have SONAR installed. This happened as a result of our installer tool changing a default behavior in their most recent update. We were able to address this quickly and it will be rectified in 2016.08.

2) We are not adopting the previous install location in the installer. If you install to a custom location we should be recalling that location for subsequent installs of the same product or updates. Today, it appears we always pre-populate the path with the default recommendation. Apparently this has been happening since X3. I have a plan to resolve this as well, but it won't happen for 2016.08, since it requires a bit of work and we're already really close to releasing. So please expect this change in 2016.09.

Thanks for the reports and for your patience as we take care of the issues.

Am I correct in assuming that when 2016.08 does come out then the "pieces and parts" that were in 2016.07 will be lost to all of us that have previously installed all other SPLAT's (i.e., 2016.06, 2016.05, 2016.04, .... 2015.01) to ANY location other than the default "C:\Program Files.." location because we don't want to install 2016.07 and have our program location moved to C:\?

Hi Bill,

Any chance you can have the installer remember the VST folder settings?
It's not a big thing but it is annoying.
I've submitted both a request and bug report on this previously.

Peace out...

Now with early 2016.08 out, still waiting to know if it will also contain whatever was in .07?  Since some of us didn't/won't/can't install 2016.07 due to the install location issue?

Updates are cumulative. Nothing is lost by going directly to 2016.08. It might be a good time to see if 2016.08 installs as expected. It is better to catch problems in the Early Access releases if possible.

Yes. We'll also try to get this into 2016.09 - The fix will likely be nearly identical to the install directory fix.

Everything you would have gotten in 2016.07 will be available through 2016.08.
