I wouldn't use that EQ on so many tracks. It may seem like a good idea Linear phase and all but you don't need to use it that way. You only need it for mastering and not as much as people think. Its a special type EQ. One in which a problem with not using it will cause sound that is not wanted i.e artifacts. For the vast majority of eq QC is plenty good enough.

OK thanks for the tip John but I still can't use the control key to add any FX in multiple.

You need the new release coming out later this month I think.

So it is a few years later so is this option available. So lets say I want to...e.g.  add VU meter to 12 tracks at once? (Not a Sonar effect)

Thanks
John

select all the tracks you want to add the effect to,
hold down CTRL and insert the plug in.
its as easy as that.

Yes I tried this and it does not work. I tried this by using the insert audio FX "+" sign on the first track and even trying to drag it onto the 1st track from the Plug-In folder. I am trying to add LP-64 EQ and it does not work. Is there an on off setting for this?

I'm not sure what you might be doing. but I just tested this again 2 minutes ago and it worked fine.

1- Select the tracks you want to add the multiple FX. (drag and select or hold down CTRL as you select)
2- Hold down CTRL key
3- Click the + button in the FX bin
4- Select the FX you want (while still holding down CTRL)
5- Sonar inserts multiple FX in the Tracks you had selected.

(as some users have stated above) is it possible you have not updated to the early release yet ?

Been away from Sonar working with Studio One and I had no idea about early access. Did some research installed it and that is what the issue was. It is slow but it works. Thanks everyone and thanks Chuck for steps, it helped me to realize I was doing everything correctly.

The ability to add FX to several tracks at once is a positive step in the right direction, however it would be great if those effects can be remove with one click as well. I just tried the early access 2016.8.  holding CTRL and adding the same effects over multiple tracks to the fx bin was a breeze, however removing them has to be one by one I don't know if this can be addressed in a future update to improve efficiency.

Case in point:

If I select 8 tracks and hold control and add sonitus reverb to the FX bin of those tracks everything goes as describe, for whatever reason suppose I made a mistake adding sonitus reverb instead of breverb I now have to remove all those sonitus reverb independently one by one or if I wanted to add a different reverb over those 8 tracks because of a change 0f heart the opposite is a bit tedious.

good idea gleville. it would be cool to switch out multiple effects too by drag dropping the new effect over the old effect in fx bin, with ctrl depressed

WOW,

Adding the same FX to multiple tracks at one time is a plus.

You don't have to remove them individually. Just press CTRL-Z to undo the insert multiple.
