I have reinstalled Melodyne Editor and made it install to Program files\ Common files\ Vst3 \ Celemony with still no luck.
Does the VST scanner scan the sub folders of your chosen file path?

did you do a rescan after install ?
if you have VST scanner set to manual you will need to rescan after installation.

and good question. yes, it does scan sub folders.

Oh dear, I really do think I am missing something silly. BTW my PIM is set to auto scan.
Am I doing something wrong? I understood that if the VST3 is installed correctly, I should immediately be able to see Melodyne in Region FX. I keep looking for it in the PIM in VST3 instruments. I previously found a VST2 version of it but that doesn't help. To be honest, I was not even aware of it being found in Region FX as I always used an F8 shortcut. BTW VST3 64-bit is the only thing that I chose to install this time. Melodyne does open from my desktop shortcut.

Update - I did have Auto Background Scan on but I went back into PIM and hit scan and it worked. After opening and closing X3 so many times as well?

Make sure the FX button in the Control Bar’s Mix module isn't active (the light isn't on). Deactivating this is what allowed me to hear the Melodyne blobs. I'm not sure if this is the intended behavior.
