Seymour_Butz_Please
I just upgraded to the latest X2 patch and I've lost SoundForge from my utilities menu.

What's the easiest way to get it back?

Thanks.

Strange, I have never lost a Utilities menu entry when updating or upgrading. Check the entry in your registry. Here are the instructions for adding an editor to the Utilities menu https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/reader.aspx/2007013099

+ 1 to what scook said.  The only time I hadt it disappear from my menu is when i went from 32 but to 64-bit.

I've tried the directions from scook's link a few times now; I can now select a clip in Sonar and click on Sound Forge in the menu.  Sound Forge opens, but it doesn't open the clip (or any other clip).

Any ideas?

Thanks.

It is almost always a registry error, double check the registry Type entry, it should be WaveEditor exactly anything else will launch the program but not pass the file.

I can confirm. I tried this with Sound Forge, and had a space in "Wave Editor;" the clip wouldn't load. As soon as I changed the registry entry to "WaveEditor," it worked fine. Thanks scook!

You are welcome, it is a subtle error that has cause more than one thread on the subject. With any luck Seymour will get his editor issue sorted out.

After an X3 and OS re-install onto a new SSD drive, I am trying to set up Soundforge 11 in my utilities menu by following the instructions on: https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/reader.aspx/2007013099 - when I click File>Export, I do not have an 'Export Registry File window'. I have Audio, Video, Midi Groove Clip, OMF and Track Template options only?
Update ......... OK, instructions are a bit unclear. I see they meant File>Export from within regedit and NOT Sonar. Should have said guys. Still struggling to run Soundforge 'Tool not found'. If I remember from my previous install it has something to do with spaces in the path, either needed or not needed?

Sonar X3e build 352.
Windows 10.

You could try the tool I wrote for this purpose called SONARToolEditor. It can be found in the OP http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3392713

It can also be found in the utilities section here
