I am using Steam edition and I am unable to get Rapture to work. When trying to load it, I get this error message: "Failed to insert soft synth". I re-installed Sonar completely to see the problem persist. BTW I tired "run as admin" without any luck. Is there any special step I should take that I am not aware of?

Is Rapture working when you run it stand-alone (outside of Sonar by itself)?

I have zero awareness of anything to do with Steam, other than the tiny piece of it I dealt with trying to help my son use it for some PC-based games he was running.

And, if you have either of them, does Rapture Session or Rapture Pro work with Steam?

Lastly, is your computer patch current with Windows and drivers maintenance?

Yes it works outside of Sonar. Problem only there when I call Rapture within Sonar. I delete both and re-install them again without luck.

are you using default settings when  installing or did you install different components to different places
IE install to a different drive / different folders ?

check in your vst folder and make sure Rapture is being scanned.

I don't know if it matters for your situation or not - I happen to record with a Sample Rate of 48 K, and I ALSO used the appropriate Micro Host Key setting for telling Rapture to ALSO use a Sample Rate of 48 K to match the setting for Sonar.

I don't happen to have a link handy for the Micro Host Key assignments for controlling Sample Rate for Rapture, Dimension Pro, and likely Rapture Pro.  Perhaps someone else might have an idea of where that info is in the product documentation - I am just back from a brutal round of physical therapy, and I am going to take some meds and lie down for an hour or 2.

Thank you guys for all your help but it still doesn't work and I had enough trouble with Rapture. Anyways I better use my good old Xpand!2 even though I don't prefer to use Ilok anyway.
