So I have been a cakewalk user since the 90's. I have purchased an X32 and am using it with Platinum, and am due to get updates for life. The problem is that if I record anything beside a bassy track ie kicks, floors, bass etc, the bassist tracks come out with static for want of a better term on them. So in my situation for eg, I have kick channels 1 and 2 on tracks 1 and 2 . If I record both together, they come out with static on them. All the gain structures are correct, no clipping etc. if I disable record on track 2. Kick 1 records perfectly. None of this is audible on monitoring, only on playback. If I move kick 2 to channel/ track 3 and don't record track/ channel 2 everything is fine. I can monitor on track 2 in this case as long as I don't enable and rec tr/ch 2. Been back n forth with beringher for 3 months and even replaced Xuf card in X32. Thought I'd try the original setup ch/tr 1 and 2 with kick 1 &2 etc as it should work with older version Sonar X3 which is still on computer. Guess what - it works perfectly, I've been back n forth between platinum and X3 a few times and each time Platinum fails and X3 works perfectly.. Have submitted problem to Cakewalk and will let you know if solved.. Love sonar, just hope we can get this sorted...
