Not sure if this is technically even possible, but I'd sure like to see a Per Track Undo feature in Sonar.

I often find myself making changes to a mix.  I'll finish a track and move on to other things - only to realize at some point I made a mistake, or don't like the changes made to the earlier track.  I know I can use the Undo command, but first I have to Undo all the changes made afterwards, and I might want to keep them.

I also know that most of the changes are non-destructive, and therefore I can usually manually reverse them.  But that assumes I actually remember what I did.    Sometimes me brain isn't up to the task.

So if I could simply go to Track 2, and Undo just the recent changes made to that Track, I would find it quite helpful.

Like I said, maybe technically unfeasible, but I think I recall being told YEARS ago that even having an Undo feature in Cakewalk at all wasn't possible.  Or at least I think I remember that.

I believe you can go to undo history and choose which ones. I might be wrong on that, ive never really used the feature, im typically always perfect

Hmmmm... that sounds like it might work. I'll have to check that out.

Congrats on your perfection. I typically wear out the eraser long before the lead gives out. :(

Chuck is wrong. :-)

The undo history will just take you back to that pont in time, and undo everything after that as well.

@ dachay - I love the pencil / eraser analogy. :-). The writing on my ctrl and Z keys has worn off..

Sounds like a job for mix recall!

If you save versions of your project at various stages along the way (which I would recommend), you can always go back to an old version and copy that version of the track into the current project.  See this thread for details:

http://forum.cakewalk.com/HELP-Insert-audio-track-from-a-different-version-of-a-project-m3459200.aspx

This could be made a bit easier if you could copy an entire track between projects in one go, rather than having to do the track settings and clips separately, but it's fine in an emergency.
