  • [Half solved] Export doesn't work with Sonar and 3 of Sonitus FX

Hi,

I edited the post I did in first place to make things simpler.

If you insert one of the 3 of this Sonitus FX : Reverb, Phase or Surround on a audio track and try to export, it will only work if "64-bit engine" is ticked at the bottom right. Otherwise, you will have this error : "An internal error occured while processing mixdown. The operation was unsuccessful. This pin cannnot use the supplied media type." or Sonar will simply hang until you'll close it.

Hope it could help if you encounter this case.

I put [Half solved] cause I have no explanation for the error message.

Have you tried a new project (in case the first one is corrupted somehow)?

Just to be clear, you're saying that simply applying say, a Sonitus reverb on an audio track and exporting it causes an error if the 64-bit mix engine isn't enabled?  Sounds like a system-specific problem to me...

Your sig says you are using Sonar X2... What O.S.?

Yes I also tried on a new project created in Sonar Platinum.

Exactly. It does either in X2 or Platinum.

Oups, my sig is not up to date (fixed now). I use Sonar Platinum, Windows 10 Pro x64 and a RME Fireface UC.

When did you first notice this issue?  If it was recent, maybe try a system restore...

There've been a few reports of problems related to Win 10 updates so this may fall under that...

Sorry, I can't reproduce or offer any insights as I'm still on Win 8.1.

I'm sure someone with Win 10 will chime in soon.  Good luck.

I think this may relate to whether the track is stereo or mono. Are the tracks that have the effects mono?

I updated from X2 to Platinum with the Lifetime Update offer and noticed it at my first export with Platinum but I tried with X2 and same thing. As in earlier projects, I always checked 64-bit engine, I never noticed it and as it works like this, no need to do a system restore which I'm not even sure that solve error.

In my projects yes but I tried on a new project on a stereo track and same error.
