The first thing i did with it was make the punch active button in the control bar super-bright red when enabled. This will hopefully avoid those situations where the punch markers are way down on the timeline so I don't see them, I miss seeing that punch is enabled, and then I think "Why is SONAR not able to record?" I can't miss that bright red button now.

Good tip there, Craig! The first thing I did was similar - in the compact transport bar, unlike in the full sized one, there's no visual indicator on the record button as to which record mode you're in; all of the button graphics are the same. I've changed those to match their full sized counterparts.
 
It would be a huge amount of work to completely write a theme from scratch, but just having the ability to go in and tweak controls is a killer way to improve your workflow.
