Here's a quick mod I did - Tungsten with the gold replaced by blue, and the compact record button on the transport with visual indicators like is on the full module:

A bit rough around the edges in places but it does the job.

Is there anywhere to share these yet?

For now just post a link to it from your hosting site like we do for screenshots.

I could add them to the resources thread in the Software forum...

send me a message with a link to the file

I think since this is in Early Access right now, things may change before release (unlikely, of course), so I'd tend to hold out then with anything until we have a gold release. For all I know, the gold release could absolutely break my mod... I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Hopefully there'll be a Theme sub forum like we have with Features & Ideas and Problem Reports that we can all dump our mods in there.

Is the new editor able to import images already made up elsewhere, or is it limited to what's in the loaded theme?

If it can import/export (drag & drop) image files then you could use the blue buttons from the Mercury theme in the tungsten theme or vise verse without changing any colors. I would keep a backup of the original themes, of course.

I still can't find a way to set the Folder text color. It still seems to be tied to the buss text color.

Can anyone see how to set the Folder text? (so it's different than the buss text color?)

My impression after reading through this thread is that the Theme Editor is not a simple program to use. Please correct me if I am wrong. I was hoping you could just click on an element and choose a different color. Will there be or is there detailed directions on how to use the Theme Editor?
Thanks

I would say it's simple, but daunting. IOW the actual ways to change the colors is easy, but actually deciding which elements to change, how they change, and how deep you want to go, gets you into the weeds pretty fast.

Some things are easy to change, like background colors. Others require working with an image editor. Creating a new theme from scratch is not for the faint of heart, but making a few tweaks isn't hard if you know how to use an image editing program.
