Under preferences we have 2 ways to adjust colouring. A choice of two themes (in Themes), which can be edited further, and the colors options (In Colours). Do the interact, or do they work independently. I guessing they don't interact as changes made to 'Color' run across the chamge in 'themes'

How do you know when to make an edit in one or the other? Is there a clear line?

So here's a Mercury I edited earlier, Note the green text on the tracks.

But when I edit 'Colours' it changes to the edited orange font.

and then when I view the default Tungsten and Mercury, they too have the orange font.

So does 'Colours' overrule 'Themes', or does it matter which order the edits were made. If I create 3 themes, and the edit colours, are they all affected. My edited theme wasn't affected by the colours earlier, until I edited them. At that point all 3 themes were using their own colours. now the are sharing the 'colors' set for certain things.

Need some help figuring out how to change the text and or background color of the Notes/Velocity button, located above the vertical piano in the Piano Roll View. For some reason, is does not follow other tabs/menu text color and seems to be using a color scheme of its own. Even when using the color picker, the Theme Editor doesn't seem to recognize it.  Would appreciate any feedback you guys can provide.
Thanks!!!!

What happens if you edit the font colors again?

I've edited colors of all fonts and drop down menu buttons where available, in both Sonar Preferences and the Theme Editor. That changed colors all over the GUI, except fot that damn button...!

In Tungsten, the font for this specific button is white (or light grey) like for all other menus.
My theme was created from Tungsten, but it displays black font on dark grey button, which is barely visible.
Every other font color matches what's used in Tungsten........

No matter where I point my theme editor to install, it says I chose the incorrect path.

I tried c: program files, cakewalk, sonar platinum and every variation I could come up with.

Do I need the theme editor to use the new Tungsten (?) theme?

No both themes should be available. Press P (Preferences), the choose Themes and you have a choice of 2
