I don't see why the forum members each can't donate $5 or $10  to you via your paypal account. I'm sure will when we are in agreement to do so.

Maybe that's a good reason John.  I sooooo hate that **** on a forum and pissed me off.  Glad you are so in touch with everyone's financial situation to make such a comment.  Why don't you just buy it for him?   Next people will use these forums for handouts. (See Steam)  When I think of charity software is way down the list of donations. I still don't get the lifetime upgrade thing with a deadline.  What happens after? Does the price go up?

No one is obligated to do anything. However this forum has done this sort thing in the past for members.
You don't have to participate. In fact if you had said nothing no one would have noticed your absence. Now all you have done is place a neon sign over you. 
 
Personally I consider Beep a friend. Friends help one another. You'd be surprised how many members here are friends.  

Awesome! We're right on the edge here (gotta figure out currencies) so I think maybe we are there or just about there.

You guys are amazing and of course hit me up with any queries (whether you got in on this or not). I'll be getting on with the couple projects that came from this and back on my forum game with great fervor.
 
Of course I am semi officially open for business as well now for sessions or my own weird brand of production work but that's a whole other thing and I'll be working on the projects offered to me via this thread for the next little while.

The only "problem" I have with this is that the same thing happened last year. For someone who says Sonar is his "main tool" and music is "not a hobby" that feels a little like bad prioritizing.

That said you're a nice enough guy and when everyone seems to think you're worth the donation, more power to you! Congrats on making it!

There's a little bit more to it then all that but I won't blather on about that here. I'll just thank you for your congatulations.

Absolutely brilliant. There was a gig that pushed it over the top but the main bulk was contributions.
 
I'm considering posting some of the test projects I've done these past couple years and describing in detail all the things I used/did to make them happen. Maybe that will give folks a better idea of what types of things I can advise on. I've literally been poking into almost every nook and cranny of Sonar and all the included tools for ages now to get a general feel for everything. Of course I've become quite familiar with certain tools I use regularly so I can be of more help with that stuff.
 
Now I can continue doing that with whatever new stuff Cake comes up with in virtual perpetuity. I really do intend on putting some vids and whatnot together for all to see.
 
Anyhoo... I'm a little spent now so I'm gonna take a momentary chill break.
