Hi there!
I'm 'rediscovering' the joys of X2 again (after some time away using hardware sequencers etc.) A few questions if I may....
  1. I remember 'Interpolate' being a great command in previous versions of Cakewalk - has it been removed from X2? If not, which menu is it hidden in?
  2. The Reset Audio/Midi button doesn't seem to reset all controllers (i.e. Expression) - is there an easy way to do that?
  3. I have a (fairly complex) song with makers, tempo and time signature changes in it. Is there a function to 'insert' some bars into the middle of the track (to extend a particular section) and have Sonar 'slide' all the following clips, markers, tempo and time changes to the right?
Ant thoughts / suggestions gratefully received.....

Cheers
Paul

OK - I found the answer to '1' now - Interpolate is hidden in a 'right click' menu that appears in piano roll view sometimes (but not always).....
I've watched a video (for x1) all about the new 'skylight' interface, but I'm still not sure I 'get it'. I can sort of understand the logic behind contextual menus to shorten long menus to make things easier to find, but if you don't know where to look for something, it can be hard to find it!
Anyway, 1 solved - any thoughts on the others???

Thanks
Paul

For (3) - https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X2&language=3&help=EditingMIDI.33.html
But careful with deleting... I do not remember how good it was working in X2, in current version it is not so easy

For (2) - there is an option in Project/MIDI/"Zero Controllers When ...". Controllers are in general momentary changes. Sonar can "Search back" (next option in the same screen) previous change. But all that is not Audio/MIDI reset related.

Brilliant - thanks for those - both look like they will help with my project:)

Much appreciated

Interpolate is now Process > Find/Change.

Thanks brundlefly - that probably makes more sense (I can remember 'discovering' interpolate in the older version - was such as random name for a great feature)
Find / change is actually much more logical - I just wasn't looking for it!!

Thanks again
