Hi everyone,
 
I have built a midi file in Sonar X1 and need to export it as a midi file - not as an OMF file.
 
I have researched online and the only other option I've been able to find is to drag the meta track onto my desktop, so I tried that and it was automatically converted into a wav file which I do not want (I still want to be able to work on the file in a piano roll on another computer).
 
How are users exporting MIDI files in Sonar X!?
 
Any help is appreciated in advance.

Try the "Save As" function with a MIDI "Save as type"

You can just drag it to the desktop.
