Does anyone know if I can run only one of the install files to repair my problem instead of having to run every single one of them? I would have to download them again and they're not small.

Well, something interesting just happened. I looked in my Cakewalk Shared Utilities folder, and there was a folder in there called Backup. In that folder there was another folder whose name was a bunch of numbers, and inside of it was another folder called VST 5.0.1.0. In it I found a file called, wait for it.. VSTscan with a date of 9/30/2011. I took a leap of faith and copied it into my Shared Utilities folder and voila, my scan features are back.  I hope it doesn't mess anything else up, but it seems to be working.  If someone has the VSTscan file for Sonar X3e, please let me know if you can copy it and send it to me directly. Thanks!!!!!!!

2011 predates X2 so the scanner will not see VST3 plug-ins or have any bug fixes from X2 or X3.

You should be able to run the initial X3 install, and then skip right to X3e and run it, as it is a cumulative update, meaning that it will have all of the updates in between all rolled up inside of it.  :)

Yes, but it seems that the original install is still broken up into several files that I'd have to redownload. Wondering if anyone can just send me their VSTscan file so I can just copy it into my folder. Thanks again.

I assume the X3e upgrade file did not work

Haven't downloaded it. Using my cellphone for internet right now. Don't have unlimited data.

It is a single file and much smaller than downloading the full X3 installer set.

I don't see the X3e update by itself under my products only a full install broken up into 4 files. Not sure if the last file is the X3e update.

Would rather just put the right VSTscan file in my folder and move on without have to reinstall anything.
