I've got the dimpro registration time out problem.  I thought I'd fixed it.  This is the 1.5 version that came w/ SONAR X2.  It took my reg # but never got out of demo mode.  And I've got a song that needs some serious strings.
 
If anybody remembers the trick for this w/o getting too far into the computer weeds please refresh my mind.

Did you use the reg# that came with X2? Older numbers will not work with it. Only other thing is register using the standalone running as administrator.

I thought there was some routine you had to do in msconfig to get rid of earlier versions.

One more thing, if you need the old DXi too, you might be better off performing a clean re-installing of an older version of DimPro and use the support page updates to get to v1.5. That would also leave the v1.2 DXi for older projects. You would need one of your older registration numbers to register the old version. Copying the programs and multisamples before the deleting for re-install can save some time getting everything back.

After following the steps in the support I realize I have a downloaded copy of X2 (and yes, I tore up the studio looking for a hard copy before looking at the disk drive - death to the dust bunnies!).
 
Anybody done a dimpro install from X2 RC3 or another download version?

What is X2 RC3? There is a version of DimPro in the X2 Producer link in your store account. It is a separate installer from X2. There are two files:
04_Dimension_Pro_1_5_Setup.exe the actual DimPro installer and
04_Dimension_Pro_1.5_Expansion_Packs.zip the expansion packs
