Hi Greg,

Wherever you land, Rapture Session should handle all your Sound Center stuff. It's 32 or 64-bit and can be run as a plug-in or standalone. Sound Center is 32-bit and cannot run standalone AFAIK.

Rapture Session will automatically import your Sound Center stuff (assuming it is installed) when you setup Rapture Session.

Hi Craig - interesting tip.  I thought command center was something on the Cakewalk web site that would analyze my system and figure out what I need (like Windows Updates).  I didn't realize I could run it on a "random" (non-DAW) machine, just to download files.  Thanks!

And Wookiee,  Beepster and scook - Thanks, I guess I had that backwards, I was figuring that "cumulative" meant I had to download each one to accumulate the changes from that month's release.

Thanks all!!!

Hey telecharge - great information, that Rapture can play my Mellotron and Vintage Keyboards samples.  I'm still hoping to get to Sonar Platinum here (with all the great help), but if not I'm glad that there is an avenue to make use of those sample packages :-)  Thanks.

IMHO Cakewalk got two things super-right with the Command Center. One was the realization that a lot of people keep their music computers offline, so they allowed for offline installation and updating. The other was the ability to roll back to a previous version. I've never needed to do it, but it's comforting to know the option is there if there's some weird incompatibility.
