Doesn't freezing the track mean you can't process it anymore?

Like JS said ,Its not true. Freezing just freezes the state of the track at which you froze it. yuo can do all the edits and you want. But if you unfeeze the track, you loose all those edits.
You can also diable the bypass for the plugins so you can add and tweak them

Freezing a track applies all FX including Melodyne as set at the moment of Freezing. If you need to apply anything different, apart from fader gain/panning etc which can be done anytime froze or unfroze, you simply unfreeze the track and apply your changes to FX or Melodyne and re-freeze. I do this all the time. It is bouncing essentially but the same track your material is already in. Works great!

hi welcome to the forum.
this thread is 6 years old. a lot has changed since then including the inception of Region FX which pretty much nulify's
the need to work with Melodyne in this manner.
